Locklizard Command line pdf encryption tool to batch encrypt PDF files – PDF batch protection
PDF Security command line for batch PDF processing
Date: June 6th 2007
Locklizard announce a full feature batch encryption Command Line facility as a major extension to their Lock Lizard Safeguard PDF Security software. Locklizard Safeguard PDF Command Line applies batch encryption and Digital Rights Management controls to multiple PDF documents.
PDF Command Line encryption is a new add-on option for Locklizard Safeguard PDF Security, delivering automated encryption and digital rights management controls for PDF documents. Lock Lizard Safeguard PDF Command Line enables publishers to issue batch file commands directly into the Writer program without needing to use the manual GUI interface. It provides the same rich functionality as the GUI. Command Line encryption instructions may be given directly from a terminal, or may be issued by batch programs. This simplifies integration with other business processes rather than have it as a stand-alone process. It also means that protection definitions can be standardized reliably.
Safeguard PDF Command Line batch encryption offers major benefits to larger publishers and enterprise DRM managers alike.
Larger publishers often need to protect a large number of documents when starting a digital service in order to make their digital list available electronically immediately when they provide their service. This can be facilitated using Safeguard PDF Command Line. Enterprise DRM managers often need to integrate their document protection controls into existing document management systems so that as soon as documents have been authorised they can be automatically protected and securely distributed.
Safeguard PDF Command Line batch encryption simplifies processing and ensures that the controls applied to PDF documents can be audited since there is a permanent record of the settings that were used. This also ensures consistency of results since administrators no longer need detailed understandings of all the settings and options in order to produce a consistent approach for particular types or classes of PDF documents that have to be managed.
Safeguard PDF Command Line can be used in conjunction with the Safeguard e-commerce integration module in order to provide a totally automated system where no user input is required and secured PDF documents must be delivered 24×7.
Safeguard PDF Command Line is available as an additional add-on product with a price of $1,495. Product documentation can be downloaded from here.
